Roshan Adel is the founder of SafeFood Pathways Limited, a senior food safety and regulatory compliance specialist with over 20 years in the food industry, including more than 15 years leading HACCP, Risk Management Programme (RMP) and regulatory compliance work for New Zealand food manufacturers.
She holds a Bachelor of Food Technology from the University of Tehran and began her career in food production and quality management in Iran, later working as a lead auditor conducting third-party audits against ISO 9001, ISO 22000 and HACCP standards. Since moving to New Zealand in 2013, she has held senior compliance roles with Hellers Limited and Fonterra Brands New Zealand — including Quality Assurance Manager and RMP/FCP Day-to-Day Manager — overseeing Animal Products Act compliance, export eligibility (OMAR, MPI AP E-cert), HACCP validation, and allergen and Listeria control across meat, dairy and ready-to-eat processing environments.
Through SafeFood Pathways, she now provides independent food safety and regulatory advisory services, helping New Zealand food producers build practical, audit-ready systems grounded in real manufacturing experience.
